HireIntent ("we," "us," or "our") provides recruiting tools at hireintent.ai. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, our browser extension, and related services.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up or sign in, we collect your email address and basic account identifiers needed to operate your account. Authentication is handled through our auth provider (Supabase).

Watchlist and candidate data

When you add candidates to a watchlist, we store the LinkedIn profile URLs you provide, along with profile metadata and scoring results generated by our service (for example: name, headline, location, and move-intent signals). We only process profiles you explicitly choose to save.

Usage and technical data

We may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to operate, secure, and improve the service. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process similar technical data on our behalf.

Browser extension

The HireIntent browser extension is a companion to our website. It is designed for manual, user-initiated actions only.

• What the extension sends:When you click "Add to HireIntent" on a LinkedIn profile page, the extension sends that profile's URL to our servers so we can add it to your selected watchlist.
• What the extension does not collect: It does not read LinkedIn messages, your connection list, feed content, or other LinkedIn data. It does not run automatic scraping or bulk exports in the background.
• Local storage: The extension stores your selected watchlist ID and site preferences locally in your browser (via Chrome extension storage) so it knows where to save profiles.
• Authentication: The extension uses your existing HireIntent login session (cookies) when calling our API. You must be signed in on hireintent.ai in the same browser.

How we use information

• Provide watchlists, candidate monitoring, and scoring features
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure
• Send service emails (such as sign-in links and product updates you request)
• Improve reliability, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run HireIntent, including:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Vercel — website and API hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Profile data providers — to validate LinkedIn URLs and retrieve public profile information for candidates you save
• AI providers — to generate move-intent scores and summaries from profile data

These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service on our behalf.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

We retain your account and watchlist data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your choices

• You choose which LinkedIn profiles to save — nothing is added without your click
• You can uninstall the browser extension at any time from your browser settings
• You can sign out of HireIntent on the website at any time
• You can contact us to access or delete your account data

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
